Denise hails from the Motor City where she grew up moving to the beat of vintage Motown and Rock and Roll, which inspired her at a young age to enter the performing arena as a dancer.

With a B.F.A. (Wayne State University) and M.F.A. (Alabama Shakespeare Festival’s Professional Actor Training Program) in Acting, Denise’s classical training taught her discipline, critical thinking, teamwork, and the timeless adage of louder, faster, funnier.

Her next stop was New York City where she acted in several NY Daytime Soap Operas, commercials and voiceovers. She also performed On- and Off-Broadway including a brief stint where she ate fire with Penn & Teller.  Her stage work at Playwrights Horizons eventually took her on a journey across the pond to perform in the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
Craving different opportunities and (most importantly) warmer weather, Denise headed West to Los Angeles where she’s continuously worked for over 20 years. Denise’s passion for touching people’s lives through storytelling has taken her down many different avenues and she can be heard on radio and television worldwide, narrating documentaries, Fortune 500 corporate videos, audiobooks, and as characters in animated series and video games. Denise also enjoys working with students and has been teaching voiceover to actors in Los Angeles at Kalmenson & Kalmenson for over 13 years.
